HURRICANE KIT

• First aid kit (band aids, antibiotic cream, pain relievers, gauze bandages with medical tape, alcohol prep pads, peroxide)

• Moist towelettes, garbage bags, plastic ties

• Refill prescriptions before (2 week supply)

• Additional medical supplies (syringes, saline, etc)

• Disposable nitrile gloves

• Toiletries (soap, hand sanitizer, toothbrush, toothpaste)

HOME

• Water (one gallon per person per day for several dates, for drinking, medical supplies, and sanitation)

• Food (at least 3-day supply of non-perishable food)

• Baby supplies (diapers, wipes, diaper cream, infant formula, infant medications)

• Paper plates, plastic utensils, paper towels

• Bleach (with no additives) & medicine dropper (bleach can be diluted 9 parts water to 1 part bleed to be used as a disinfectant/ 16drops bleach per gallon of water to treat water in an emergency)

• Grocery store plastic bags

• Tide individual cleaning packs for clothing

PETS

• Pet food (for 2 weeks)

• Can opener if needed for canned food

• Paperwork of vaccinations, microchip info, etc

• Bottled water/water jug

• Leash & collar with tags

• Portable dog bowls

• Chew toys

• Security blanket

OUTDOOR/ UTILITY

• Battery- powered or hand crank radio/ NOAA Weather radio

• Flashlight

• Extra batteries

• Cell phone charger (solar charger)

• Battery operated clock

• Grille or camp stove (charcoal or propane)

• Thermos/coolers

• Trash bags (contractor and regular)

• Gasoline for car/generator stored in proper containers and proper locations

• Fire extinguisher

• Utility gloves

• Waterproof matches (preferred), butane lighter and Candles

• Dust mask/surgical mask (contaminated air/ pandemic requirements depending on state)

• Plastic sheeting and duct tape

• Whistle (to signal for help)

• Copy of important documents in a waterproof container
